Nun, der Vortrag sollte um 12:30 beginnen, Einlass war ab 10:30 und WIR (siehe Foto unten) haben uns bereits 9:15 getroffen.
Aber die Schlange war schon unglaublich lang, wir sind erst so gegen 11:15 rein gekommen! Hier ein paar Impressionen der Warteschlange:
Innen mussten wir ca. 1 1/2 Stunden warten, was aber mit dem Hotdog und ein paar Smarties nicht so schlimm ist. Währenddessen füllte sich das Comcast Center (gleicher Veranstaltungsort wie das Basketballspiel) und die Stimmung heizte auf.
Nach dem nun der studentische Vorsitzende des "Obama Clubs" und noch irgend ein offizieller Vorsitzende der Partei oder so gesprochen hatte wurde folgendes Musikvideo auf der Leinwand abgespielt. Ihr könnt es unter folgenden zwei links abrufen. Manche von euch werden so einige Pop- und Hollywoodsternchen erkennen!

Durch dieses doch sehr emotionale Video waren dann alle erst richtig aus dem Häußchen! Und dann war es endlich so weit, Mr. Barack Obama himself kam auf die Bühne!
Auf dem Banner der Bühne ist der Titel von Obamas Wahlcampagne: "Change we can believe in"
Ich habe versucht ein Transkript seiner Rede zu finden, leider erfolglos. Ich möchte euch aber trotzdem ein Exzerpt einer anderen Rede zeigen:
„Don't tell me we can't change. Yes, we can. Yes, we can change. Yes, we can.
Yes, we can heal this nation. Yes, we can seize our future. Just imagine lil ole Angie giving a speech like this. People would laugh at her, wouldn't they?
